Summary

Compact is a mirror. It uses your iPhone's front camera to show you your face, and nothing the camera sees is recorded, saved or sent anywhere. The app has no account, no analytics and no advertising. This website sets no cookies and uses only cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics.

App: the camera

Compact asks for camera access so the front camera can act as your mirror. The picture goes from the camera to the screen and nowhere else.

To keep the loupe on your eye, brows or lips, Compact finds your face in the picture using Apple's Vision framework. That happens on your iPhone, one frame at a time, and nothing is kept: no photos, no video and no face data.

App: what is stored

Compact saves your settings on your iPhone, such as the light's colour, intensity and ring width, the loupe's zone, magnification and size, and whether the mirror follows your face. Settings are all it stores, and deleting the app deletes them.

App: what is collected

Nothing. Compact has no account or sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code, and it sends nothing to any server.

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may pass along anonymous crash and usage statistics. Apple collects those under its own privacy policy, and they contain nothing from the camera.

Website

This website, www.compactfoldingmirror.app, is static files hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies. For traffic counts it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and collects no personal data. Cloudflare keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser and the page requested) on its usual schedule.

The light controls on the home page change only what you see. Nothing you choose there is stored or sent.

Children's privacy

Compact collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
